Birmingham Airport

A global language for bHX

reframing a brand dialogue to take its place on the world stage

BHX Airport’s messaging was grounded in a local mindset, struggling to have a recogniseable voice amongst other UK airports.

BHX is on a mission to expand, with new routes to china and India we gave them a platform that changed the conversation from regional convenience to global host.

By shifting the narrative outward, the concept invited a dialogue between Birmingham and the world. And in doing so enabled us to bring strong brand consistency throughout all touchpoints.

The brand was inspired by flight paths around planet earth. With multiple lockups available to bring interest and longevity to future comms. All branding and guidelines were designed by Mike Lloyd at Yellow Design with ongoing client support for brand consistency.

The Hello World concept brought all aspects of the rebrand to life, from exterior signage to welcome screens, it’s welcoming nature embraced all customers, foreign and domestic.

Our campaign concept was flexible enough to work on all forms of advertising, whether it was selling new flight routes, runway extensions or duty free.
